The Sheldon Historical Society organized in 1991 in response to a suggestion made at the 1991 Town Meeting to plan a Sheldon Bicentennial Celebration. It continues as a Town of Sheldon organization committed to the aggregation, preservation, display and dissemination of artifacts and materials of local importance and educational value.
