The Sheldon Historical Society is pleased to acknowledge grant funding received through the Vermont Arts Council

and the National Endowment for the Arts

These funds support our renovation and rehabilitation of the first floor of the Sheldon Historical Museum located at 200 Bridge Street.  Work commences immediately on this renovation including electrical wiring, window replacement, door renovation, floor restoration, and wall and ceiling covering.  The grant funded project completion date is set for August 31, 2019 and will result in a usable space to begin displaying artifacts and to accommodate public access.
Simultaneously and with other funding sources the Society continues this year with the renovation of the site with east wall replacement, east exterior stair replacement, west wall residing, roof replacement and a variety of projects intended to bring the location to code and to allow for full public access including for those with disabilities.
Your ongoing financial support as well as your volunteer labor allows us to match the contribution of the Vermont Arts Council through this Cultural Facilities Grant.  Please contact us at P O Box 65 Sheldon, VT 05483 or email us at sheldonhistorical@gmail.com for further information.
